Liverpool striker Nunez gives green light to La Liga switch

The 25-year-old arrived from Benfica with high expectations in 2022, but after an underwhelming third season on Merseyside, where he has managed just seven goals, his future at the club appears increasingly uncertain.

Despite showing glimpses of his potential, Nunez has struggled for consistency and has fallen down the pecking order, especially under incoming head coach Arne Slot.

According to Cadena SER, the Uruguayan has already held discussions with Atletico and is keen on making a switch to La Liga.

The Spanish side are believed to have received a positive response from the player's inner circle, though no formal agreement has yet been reached with Liverpool, who may still need to negotiate terms.
