Liverpool's Konate replaced by Gomez at half-time due to injury

Liverpool headed into the break trailing by one goal to Brighton, who took the lead of the game at the 14th minute with Kadioglu.

The Reds will surely look to break down the Seagull defence in the second-half of the Premier League clash, though they will now have to do so without Ibrahima Konate.

The defender was seen down in pain following a challenge during Liverpool's corner right before the half-time whistle. Konate left the pitch visibly distressed as went into the dugout using his kit as a makeshift sling.

It is unclear whether he has picked up a serious injury, but Slot has decided that the Frenchman will not take part in the second period of the game, as he brought on Joe Gomez to replace him.
