Liverpool prepared to seal Milos Kerkez deal

Liverpool have had a great season in Arne Slot's first year at Anfield. The Reds were crowned Premier League champions although they suffered a painful Champions League exit to eventual champions PSG and were beaten in the Carabao Cup final by Newcastle.

The Merseyside outfit have had an injury crisis in defence throughout the season and to prevent that from happening the English club's board is already working to reinforce the team for next season.

One of the first to arrive at Anfield after the signing of Jeremie Frimpong was confirmed will be Bournemouth centre-back Milos Kerkez, with whom Liverpool already reached an agreement in principle a week ago.

In fact, Fabrizio Romano recently reported that Arne Slot's side are in the final stages of negotiations with the Cherries, so the Hungarian center-back could be announced in the next few days by the Reds.

Kerkez has made 41 official appearances this season under Andoni Iraola, scoring two goals and providing five assists.
