Liverpool face anxious wait on Bradley and Konate injuries ahead of Man City clash

Liverpool manager Arne Slot is awaiting further information on the injuries sustained by Conor Bradley and Ibrahima Konate during Wednesday's impressive 2-0 victory over Real Madrid in the Champions League. Both players, who were instrumental in the win, picked up issues in the second half and will undergo assessment by the club's medical team. 

Slot acknowledged the difficulty in immediately determining the severity of the injuries, stating, "I know where they have pain, but how bad or how good it is difficult to judge so close after the game".

The potential absence of Bradley and Konate adds to Liverpool's existing injury concerns, with Slot noting that the team was already missing key players such as Trent Alexander-Arnold, Diogo Jota, and Alisson Becker for the Real Madrid match. 

Despite these setbacks, the manager remains optimistic, emphasising the squad's depth and the ability of other players to step up when called upon. Slot expressed hope that both Bradley and Konate would be available for Sunday's crucial fixture against Manchester City, but he also prepared for the possibility of their absence.

The injuries come at a critical time for Liverpool, who currently hold an eight-point lead in the Premier League and face a Manchester City side on a six-match winless run. Slot's comments reflect the unpredictable nature of injuries throughout a season and the need for squad rotation and adaptability.
