Liverpool agree £110m deal for Brighton's Moises Caicedo

Liverpool break the bank for Moises Caicedo and beat Chelsea in the race for Brighton's promising youngster. According to Fabrizio Romano, the Reds have offered £110m (£10m more than the Blues) for the midfielder and the Seagulls have accepted it immediately.

It had already been reported in recent days that Jurgen Klopp's team wanted to hijack the transfer of the 21-year-old to Mauricio Pochettino's team, and so it has finally happened.

Moises Caicedo will be a luxury addition to Liverpool's midfield, which had already been bolstered this summer with the arrival of Szoboszlai from Leipzig and Mac Allister from Brighton. The Ecuadorian talent will once again team up with the Argentine midfielder.

According to the Italian transfer market journalist, the Seagulls player is expected to be announced as a new Reds player on Friday after booking medicals.

The Ecuador international proved to be a key player for De Zerbi next season, making 43 official appearances, 40 of them starts, scoring one goal and providing one assist.
