Liverpool after Derby youngster

Kaide Gordon is just 16, but he already has the admiration of Wayne Rooney and has caught the attention of Jürgen Klopp. The Derby County youth academy graduate could go to Liverpool.
The 'Liverpool Echo' informs that the Reds could pay 1 million pounds, some 1.12 million euros, for the youngster, as long as they manage to convince his family.
Gordon can't sign a professional contract until the end of the year, the aforementioned source assures, but Liverpool have already gotten down to work to sign him then.
"Kaide is a fantastic player and he has got a lot of potential. He has come through the academy. He is 16, he has got a lot of development to do and he is definitely at the right place to do that", Rooney said about the player.
The ex-Manchester United player is aware of the potential he has and the opponents they will have to keep him: "Of course there will be interest in Kaide because he is a fantastic player".
