Lindelof hints at summer exit from Manchester United

Victor Lindelof has opened up about his uncertain future at Manchester United, admitting he will hold discussions about his next steps ahead of the summer transfer window.
Speaking while on international duty with Sweden, the 30-year-old said, "I'm very comfortable in Manchester United. I've been there for a long time, and it's the world's best league". Despite his comfort at Old Trafford, Lindelof acknowledged the need for clarity, adding, "I'll have to talk to everyone involved going forward".
Reports suggest that Benfica are interested in re-signing Lindelof, who spent five years at the Portuguese club before joining United in 2017 for £31 million. Under Ruben Amorim, the Swedish defender has made just 14 appearances this season in all competitions.
With his contract expiring in June 2025, rumors of a possible move away from Old Trafford have intensified. Lindelof has frequently visited Portugal in recent years and is said to see Benfica as an attractive option for the next stage of his career.
"It's a club that I like," he reportedly commented when asked about the possibility of returning to Lisbon. As Manchester United prepare for a squad overhaul this summer, Lindelof’s departure could help fund new arrivals while providing the defender with an opportunity to rejuvenate his career abroad.
