Lewis-Skelly agrees new Arsenal contract after breakthrough season

England full-back Myles Lewis-Skelly has agreed a contract renewal with Arsenal, BBC Sport reports. The 18-year-old will remain tied to the Gunners after negotiating a new deal in recent months.

Lewis-Skelly, whose current contract was due to expire in 2026, has enjoyed a year of first-team consolidation, making 39 appearances in all competitions.

His Arsenal debut came in September against Manchester City, where he was deployed at left-back despite having trained as a midfielder in the club's academy.

The youngster has been rewarded with a call-up to the England senior squad in March, having come through the national youth ranks.

Lewis-Skelly scored in England's 2-0 win over Albania at Wembley, becoming the youngest player to make his debut and score for the senior side.

His outstanding performances earned him a nomination for the PFA Young Player of the Year award, alongside the likes of Morgan Rogers, Liam Delap, Dean Huijsen, Milos Kerkez and Ethan Nwaneri.
