Leroy Sane in contract stalemate as Bayern Munich hold firm

The 29-year-old winger has expressed a willingness to extend his stay at the Allianz Arena, even accepting a potential pay cut.
However, his new agents have tabled a counteroffer of €12 million in guaranteed salary, plus an additional €3 million in appearance-based bonuses as they seek better terms than the club's original proposal.
Bayern Munich's initial offer, which stood at €10 million fixed plus bonuses totalling €15.5 million, has been described as falling short of his market value, and the winger is reportedly not satisfied with the club's valuation.
Despite this, the Bavarian giants, led by director of sport Max Eberl, remain resolute in their stance and have no current plans to increase their offer. While Bayern remain unmoved, the player's preference is to remain in Munich, despite receiving a lucrative €25 million offer from Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad.
The German international has long been a key figure for Bayern, and his openness to a pay cut underscores his desire to stay at the club, provided an agreement can be reached that reflects his value.
As negotiations continue, the situation remains delicate, with both parties seeking a compromise. However, the team's firm position suggests they are willing to risk losing a star player rather than yield to excessive wage demands.
