"Leao to Barca? No chance, no way; 100%"

Barcelona's dream of signing Nico Williams seems to have vanished completely. The winger is set to remain at Athletic for another season and the Catalan giants will be without one of their main targets.

However, he has not been the only name that has been linked to the current ‘Cule’. In the last few days, the possibility of Rafael Leao joining the Catalan club has been discussed, although it all seemed to be more rumour than reality.

Even more so, when the CEO of the ‘Rossoneri’ Giorgio Furlani, denied categorically his departure in a statement to ‘El Chiringuito’: "Leao to Barca? No, no chance. No way. 100%".

Barcelona have only been able to incorporate Dani Olmo in this summer market (not counting the loan spells or the incorporation of Pau Víctor, who played last season in the reserve team), although, for the moment, they have not been able to register him in La Liga. For yet another season, the economic situation of the Azulgrana side in terms of respecting the financial rules of the competition continues to limit the club's ability to bring in new players.
