Despite ongoing rumours linking him to a move away from the Italian capital, Leandro Paredes has extended his stay at Roma for another season. The Argentine, whose contract would've run out in June, will continue to wear the 'Giallorossi' outfit at least until 2026.
"AS Roma are delighted to announce that Leandro Paredes has penned a new deal with the club. The Argentine’s contract will expire on 30 June 2026," reads a statement from the club
Following a rough start to the season, the 2022 World Cup winner with Argentina has rediscovered his form since the arrival of Claudio Ranieri in the Roma dugout, becoming a crucial asset in the Italian manager's midfield.
"The 30-year-old first joined in 2014 from Boca Juniors and featured for Roma in the 2014-15 and 2016-17 seasons. He then moved away from the city before returning in 2023. He has played 129 times for Roma, scoring 10 goals," added the Serie A side.
