Le Normand admits he'd rather win the Champions League than La Liga

Atletico Madrid kick off a new edition of the Champions League and will host RB Leipzig at the Metropolitano. Beforehand, Robin Le Normand gave an interview for 'Cadena COPE' and reviewed part of the current situation of his team.

The centre-back is clear about the titles: "I prefer to win the Champions League rather than La Liga". And also about the most difficult player to defend: "Lamine Yamal and Mbappe, more complicated than Vinicius and Nico Williams".

"We haven't started yet, but it's clear that there's a lot of excitement because the team has a lot of very good players and a very complete squad. We want to go as far as possible, but with this new format and so many teams, I don't know what the competition is going to be like. We'll try to do what we've been doing so far and win the games,’ he said.

And on another final against Real Madrid: "I don't care. Work, desire and ambition will not be lacking, but we must keep a cool head. We are one of many good teams, but we know how difficult it is to win a title like this.

"The game by game is something I've always had in my head since I was a child, I don't know if it's a coincidence. That's how I've spent my career. To be available for the next game and then the coach decides if I can help the team or not. I've always tried to work every day for that," he continued.
