“You don't win a league every day and we have to celebrate it the way it is deserved”

Barcelona midfielder Pedri assured, after winning La Liga EA Sports at the RCDE Stadium (0-2), that the domestic title “is not won every day”, so he urged his teammates to “celebrate it as it deserves”.

“Surely there will be a celebration. You don't win a league title every day and we have to celebrate it the way it deserves,” said the Spanish international in statements to ‘Movistar LaLiga’.

Pedri explained that they decided to celebrate the title in the dressing rooms of the RCDE Stadium, after the 'Periquito' club turned on the sprinklers to prevent the 'Cules' celebration on the pitch.

“The sprinklers came out, but we are already celebrating in the stand. We are looking forward to seeing the family,” said the midfielder, who has dedicated the title to his parents and his brother, who supported him when he was injured.

About the match, Pedri, who played his 200th game for Barcelona, highlighted the first goal of Lamine Yamal, of whom he said that it is “lucky to have him” in the team. “We have to take care of him and let him enjoy football as he is doing,” he added.
