“We've had a tough time, but we pulled through; we'll do it again”

Betis' European dream came to an end in the hardest possible way. The Andalusian side were defeated in the final of the Conference League against Chelsea. Aitor Ruibal spoke to 'Movistar' and shared his first thoughts on the matter.
“It's a pity not to be able to give them this title because.... I'm angry for them. They carried us in the first half. The first goal hurt us a lot. I can tell them there will be more. Heads up, to all my teammates. We've had a f*cking great year, let's keep going,” he said.
Ruibal expressed his sorrow, above all, for the fans: “The team in the first half has reflected what it has done all season. With the lead, you see yourself with that possibility and maybe you defend a little more deeper. They score the first goal... this is football. I feel very bad just to see the fans”.
“I know how hard it is to reach a final. We've had a tough time this season, a really tough stretch of the season. We trusted and we got through it. We will do it again,” he concluded.
