“Unai Simon always saves one or two"

Pedri praised the role of goalkeeper Unai Simon in the penalty shootout that gave Spain the ticket to defend the crown in the final four of the Nations League, before he was the hero of scoring the decisive goal.
“It's nice to wear this shirt and to be able to play for the national team, scoring a goal that makes the fans happy is even more so. It wouldn't have been possible without Unai, who always saves one or two. We are happy with the victory,” he said on ‘Teledeporte’.
“It was a complicated match. The Netherlands is a good team, they play good football, they always try to have the ball. We came out well, but every time we took the lead they equalised. It went to penalties, but we have Unai,” he added.
Pedri thanked the support of the fans who came to Mestalla. “The fans are very attached to us, the EURO raised a lot of excitement. We play football that people like”.
