“Let's close this league that we deserve so much”

Barcelona defender Inigo Martinez said that, after beating Real Madrid at the Olimpico Lluis Companys (4-3) and moving seven points away from the eternal rival, “now, it's time to close this league that we deserve so much”.
The 'Cules' centre-back believes that the team has been “far better” than the 'Merengue' team throughout the season and that, today, it was time to “make a statement” and make it clear that the title will be awarded to the Catalan team.
However, Inigo Martinez recalled that the work is not yet done and that it must be finished next matchday at the RCDE Stadium. “It's an important match, vital, and we must not let it slip away,” stressed the Basque defender, who, however, will not be able to help his teammates from the field, as he will miss the derby after seeing a fifth yellow card against Real.
Regarding Sunday's 'Clasico', Inigo said that it was “a beautiful match for the fans” in which “a great Barca” was seen, who were able to overcome a 0-2 deficit. “Although we had phases of the match where we were not at our best at the back and they created chances quite easily, the team was able to come back and stay strong to win,” he concluded.
