Kroos doubts Flick's discipline would fit modern Real Madrid

He was recently back in the boots for the legends' match at the Santiago Bernabeu, but Toni Kroos is already doing other things away from the pitch. What he does maintain is the podcast he has been doing for years with his brother. In it, he talked about how demanding Hansi Flick is when it comes to punctuality, something that could have punished Inaki Pena this season at Barca.
"With Hansi, some players have been left out of the team for being late for a meeting," the former German midfielder admitted, confirming that these rumours are more than true. Something unthinkable, for example, at Real Madrid, where he has spent a large part of his career.
"They are different philosophies, at Madrid they would have laughed. A lot of times you didn't know who was late, if it was the player or the coach. It was a different mentality, not letting someone play because he was five minutes late for a meeting...", Toni added.
"Both - mentalities - are fine, we could say that Flick's is typical of Germany," concluded Kroos, not wanting to get involved in commenting on each other's methods.
