Klopp's assistant takes a break from Liverpool

The 'Reds' are approaching the most important game of their season as they travel to Rome in the second instalment of their Champions League semi-final clash.

However, Liverpool will have to do it without Buvac, who is often labelled as the 'Brain', after the club revealed that Klopp's assistant will be away from the first-team environment for the rest of campaign.

Although they refused to expand on the nature of the absence, Liverpool confirmed that it was for personal reasons but that Kovac remains an employee of the club.

The Bosnian has worked alongside Klopp for the best part of two decades, having also be present during Klopp's managerial spells at Mainz and Borussia Dortmund.
