Klopp praised Bajcetic: "The Serbian-Spanish mix is very good"

Stefan Bajcetic, the young Spanish midfielder born in Vigo, renewed his contract with Liverpool a few weeks ago until the summer of 2027, that is, for four and a half seasons. The Reds have secured the continuity of an 18-year-old player who has already made his debut in the Premier League and who will fight for a starting place in the coming years. He came up through the ranks at Celta, from where he made the big leap to England as a teenager.
On Friday, his manager Jurgen Klopp was full of praise for the young Liverpool talent: "He is a great talent. He's an excellent player and he's playing very well. It's a pleasure to work with him," he said at the press conference on the eve of the Newcastle game.
"The Serbian-Spanish mix is very good in football. He is very intelligent," he added. It is worth remembering that the Vigo midfielder has already played six Premier League games and three Champions League games.
Klopp also explained Bajcetic's great relationship with a teammate: "His father and Thiago's father played together at Celta Vigo, so Thiago has helped him.
"At the moment there is no sign that he is not ready to play. How will he do when there are three games a week? I don't know. He was exceptional against Everton, not just because he is 18, but because he was magnificent," he said.
