Kimmich explains decision to stay at Bayern over Premier League move

With his contract nearing its end, Kimmich had been linked with a move away, but the German international has now committed his future to the Bavarian club, signing a new deal that will keep him at the Allianz Arena until 2029.
"I believe that at Bayern, I have the best environment to reach my sporting ambitions," he stated. "I based my decision on that. No better combination of teammates, coaching staff, and club culture can help me achieve maximum success. I feel at home here, and I’m not finished yet."
Bayern Munich CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen also expressed his delight at the renewal, saying: "We are thrilled that Joshua Kimmich will continue his journey with us. He's a natural leader. His hunger for success remains as strong as ever, as shown in the Champions League.
"His determination and commitment truly reflect the values of FC Bayern, and he will play a key role in bridging the gap between our current squad and the future."
