Keylor Navas gives green light to Nottingham Forest move

Dean Henderson, who Nottingham Forest signed on loan from Man Utd for this season, got injured in a game against Leicester and he will be sidelined. As a consequence, the board have gone out to get Keylor Navas of PSG: After tough negotiations, Forest have managed to get the Costa Rican to move to the Premier League.
At least that is what can be read on the front pages of newspaper 'L'Equipe', who say that the Ligue 1 side do not known whether they will let him leave with or without an option to buy. If the deal is completed, it will be through a loan deal. The former Real Madrid man has a contract until 2024 in Ligue 1 and Forest were not going to be capable of satisfying the French club's financial demands.
The PSG board are happy to see the goalkeeper leave as that allows them to reduce their financial expenditure ahead of the second half of the season. The player earns around nine million euros gross per season, so the English side will have to pay all or a large part of his salary if PSG are to save a considerable amount of money on the loan deal. In any case, their finances are in outstanding health.
If Keylor Navas ends up signing for Nottingham Forest, it will be his first taste of Premier League football. He has already played in France and Spain, so he would add his third major league to his CV. Because of his wealth of experience in the top flight, he would be received like a star and it would be a psychological boost for the whole squad.
