Midfielder Franck Kessie could end his spell at Barcelona barely a year after his arrival. The player is one of the players close to leaving the 'Cules'.
Barca need to sell to be able to sign this summer and 'AS' claims that the first to leave will be the Ivory Coast player. The club have had no choice but to take this decision for economic reasons.
According to the aforementioned source, Kessie is said to have had a talk with Xavi. The coach would have explained to him that the club needs to transfer him and that the decision has nothing to do with his performance. The player would have accepted it with resignation.
The Catalan giants are looking for a new team for Kessie, but they are not going to give him away. The Camp Nou side are looking to get at least 35 million euros for the midfielder.
The player has a good status on the transfer market. Teams such as Liverpool, Inter and Tottenham have been mentioned as possible destinations for Kessie, whose days are numbered as a Barcelona player.
Kessie would be the first to leave, but not the only one. Ferran Torres and Ansu Fati are also on sale, although their cases are more complicated because of the years left on their contracts, because of what they earn and because neither wants to leave, which would complicate everything.
