Kenedy to have Newcastle medical

The Brazilian spent the latter half of last season on loan at the 'Magpies', where he impressed under Rafa Benitez. 

The winger made 13 appearances in the league, most playing on the left, and scored twice as Newcastle lifted themselves away from the relegation battle. 

Newcastle have been keen on a deal for some time, amid interest from a host of clubs. 

It is believed the player himself was very keen on a return to Tyneside, and a big factor in this was the prospect of working under Rafa Benitez for another season. 

Kenedy reported to Cobham today for pre-season training with Chelsea, but will now head north.
