Juve's Bremer hoping for return before Club World Cup

The Brazilian defender ruptured an anterior cruciate ligament following an awkward twist to his left knee during a Champions League match against RB Leipzig on October 2, before undergoing surgery the same week.
Despite being away from action, Gleison Bremer attended a charity event for cancer research alongside numerous Juventus teammates, as he opened up about his recovery while speaking to the microphones of 'Sky Sport'.
"These past months have been difficult. But I'm progressing without any setbacks. I wish I could play immediately, but we have to respect the recovery timelines," Bremer confessed after spending five months on the sidelines.
The 28-year-old said he is looking to return before the Club World Cup, which kicks off in the United States on June 14. "Maybe for the Club World Cup, yes, but not as a starter. I don't want to rush my way back," he added.
A lot has been unfolding at Juventus since Bremer's injury, especially behind the scenes. Earlier this week, Thiago Motta was relieved from his duties as head coach, terminating his journey with the club just months after his appointment.
"We have had many injuries. I feel bad for Thiago Motta," Bremer said on Motta. "He was a good coach for me. It ended like this, and I feel sorry for him. The former midfielder has since been replaced by Igor Tudor, who is set to lead his first game in charge on Saturday against Genoa.
Speaking on the Croatia international, Bremer concluded: "I met up with Igor Tudor and he asked me how I was doing, but it is still too early. Hopefully we can get to the Champions League. The 'Bianconeri' sit 5th in Serie A, but find themselves just a point behind Bologna in fourth.
