Jordi Alba renews with Inter Miami until 2027

Spain's Jordi Alba renewed his contract with Inter Miami on Thursday until 2027, the US franchise said in a statement.

"I am renewing my contract because I want to continue competing, because I feel at home at the Club and because of the affection I receive from the fans at every game. I have been very comfortable in these two years at the Club and I feel very loved by all the fans," said Alba after signing the contract.

"We have the illusion of continuing to compete, to continue winning and, well, hopefully we can win as many titles as possible," he added.

Jordi Alba signed for Inter Miami in 2023 after winning everything in European football with Barcelona and was joined in Miami by former teammates including Leo Messi, Sergio Busquets and Luis Suarez.

Alba has five assists in 11 games for Inter Miami this year. Last season, Alba had a salary of $1.5 million at Inter Miami. The club has not shared details about the terms of the new deal.
