Joan Garcia emerges on Real Madrid's radar amid growing interest

Once again, Joan Garcia played a key role in Espanyol's win over Getafe. It wasn't just about the five saves he made, but about his growing reputation for delivering at least one decisive stop per match.
He saved the win, earned praise from Manolo Gonzalez, who likened his importance to Messi at Barcelona, and now new suitors emerge - Real Madrid.
According to Sport, the Spanish giants are exploring the possibility of convincing him to snub other offers, though this could be difficult given the number of clubs already tracking him. His standout form has also attracted interest in England, particularly from Arsenal.
His level has surprised Madrid, who are beginning to consider a generational change in goal. Thibaut Courtois is approaching 33, and Andriy Lunin has yet to sign a renewal, making Joan Garcia a more realistic option.
The Espanyol keeper would also contribute to the club's efforts to bring in more Spanish players. The same report links Barcelona with Garcia, too, although the Catalans are not prioritising the goalkeeper position at the moment.
Elsewhere in Europe, Manchester City and Bayern Munich have shown interest as well. Guardiola has struggled to find consistency in goal this season, and the Bavarians are looking for a successor to Manuel Neuer.
