Jesus Vallejo warns Ancelotti: "I'm ready for the first team"

Real Madrid lost Sergio Ramos to PSG, and they might lose Raphael Varane as well. They have been the two main centre-backs in the team over the last decade and Jesus Vallejo, a defender who spent last year online to Granada, believes his moment has arrived. Currently focused on Spain's Under-23 side for the Olympic Games, he took an interview with 'El Español' in which he admitted he is ready.
"I'm very focused on the Olympic Games. When they end, initially I will return to Madrid. I think that I'm ready to be in the first team. There's a high standard, for sure. But when you arrive at the elite level both at Madrid and with the national team, at the top there's less room. That's what motivates me to keep on working and improving every day", he added.
"I don't know Ancelotti personally because I wasn't here when he arrived, I still haven't spoken to him", he stated before analysing the Madrid squad. "In the last few years, he has had extraordinary squads, and I think the difference is the concentration, the enthusiam and the small details. I don't think it will be down to the squad. It will depend a lot on the work that Ancelotti does tactically to be able to fight for titles."
When asked about Sergio Ramos, he replied: "It came as a bit of a shock. I always imagined him at Real Madrid after so many years being the captain. He will have to recover and get accustomed. We have to wish him the best at PSG, who will certainly have a great team. And us too, we have to be focused on making Real Madrid a great team and building solid foundations."
