Jeglertz swaps Euros for Man City

Denmark have already been eliminated from the Women's European Championship. Nevertheless, the Scandinavian side will play their final match under Andree Jeglertz, against Poland this Saturday (20:00 GMT) in a bid to salvage some pride in a group dominated by Sweden and Germany.
Following the tournament, the Swedish coach will take over as manager of Manchester City. He made the decision to end his tenure with the Danish national team – a role he began in August 2023 – prior to the summer.
Andree Jeglertz's Denmark failed to overcome Sweden, suffering a 1-0 defeat. Filippa Angeldahl netted the decisive goal, while Germany defeated them 2-1 in the second match with goals from Sjoeke Nusken from the spot and Lea Schuller.
Manchester City finished fourth in the Women's Super League last season. Chelsea demonstrated their dominance in England, with Arsenal and Manchester United finishing second and third respectively. Jeglertz's objective will be to reverse their fortunes.
