James Milner will captain England for the first time ever against Netherlands. BeSoccer

With captain Wayne Rooney out injured still, the Liverpool star has been given the responibility of the armband.

The FA have announced James Milner will captain his national side for the first time ever, with captain Rooney out injured, and vice-captain Gary Cahill, who recently captained England to their remarkable victory against Germany, expected to start on the bench.

The midfielder who is curently with Premier League side Liverpool has 57 caps with England, with his last being back in October for England's 2-0 win against Estonia.
