"It has been the worst 45 minutes of my career"

Joao Cancelo was one of the players singled out in Barcelona's defeat against Villarreal, especially for the second of the visitors' goals. After the game, he spoke on 'Esport3', where he was self-critical.

"We managed the most difficult thing which was to come back and then we conceded the three goals. The fault is ours alone. I speak for myself. It was a disaster, to be honest. It was the worst 45 minutes of my career. Now I'm thinking about training because the sun always comes out and the good thing about football is that on Wednesday there's another game," said the Portuguese full-back.

Cancelo blamed himself: "Sincerity always. It's my fault, it's a mistake. We have a young team and the lack of experience gave us this result. I'm very sad, to be honest. I really like this club and how they treat me and my performance was a disaster and I couldn't help. On Sunday I will give my all in training".

"We are a great team on a human and sporting level. The coach is not to blame. He made 3 changes, I think he did well and I didn't correspond to the change because I had to try to help and that mistake... My head was gone, I have no explanation. It's very hard to concede 5 at home. That's the way sport is", he said.
