'I will always give my everything to this club' - Asencio on Bilbao win

Real Madrid managed to secure three key points in their La Liga title race with Barcelona after Fede Valverde's 93rd minute strike gave them victory at the Santiago Bernabeu against Athletic Bilbao following their Champions League quarter-final exit against Arsenal. 

It is not the first time that a long-range goal from the Uruguayan midfielder helped the ‘Merengues’ salvage a difficult match, something that Raul Asencio highlighted when speaking to the press after the victory over the Basque side.

"We are used to Valverde's shots and amazed. We enjoy them. He's a great player and wonderful person," he said on the Uruguayan's late winner. In addition, the Spanish defender reaffirmed his commitment to the club and thanked the fans for their support.

"I will always give my everything to this club, to my teammates and to the fans. Every time I play here at the Bernabeu it's an incredible motivation, to be able to live this kind of experience and have the fans cheer for me is an undescribable sensation. I hope it will be many more times."
