"I watch all the games on replay, except the Madrid comeback, it brings back bad memories"

Man City beat Real Madrid 4-3 in the first leg of the Champions League 2021-22 semi-finals. A lead that was of little use to City, as 'Los Blancos' turned the tie around with a 3-1 win at the Santiago Bernabeu that put them in the final and knocked Pep Guardiola's side out of the competition.
Rodri admitted on 'El Larguero' that he has not been able to watch that match on television: "It's not a match I like to remember. Generally, I watch all my matches on replay. That game at the Bernabeu is the only one I haven't re-watched because of the bad memories it brings back".
"It's true that it was a very open tie, and we had it in our hands. It got away from us in the end", he continued. However, he assures us that they have learned from the mistakes they made then. "Everything serves to keep learning and it's experience that we are gaining as a team," he added.
As for whether he would like to meet 'Los Blancos' again in this year's edition, he prefers not to think about it. "This year we are in a very demanding draw and we don't think about what might happen in the semi-finals. We are a club that wants to win the Champions League and I think we have the team to demand to win it," he commented.
