'I want to return to Europe'

The future of the Colombian remains up in the air. Whilst out in Russia impressing with the 'Cafeteros', the midfielder was linked with Real Madrid, however the Spanish side haven't tabled a bid for him.

"I am very happy at River (Plate), but I also want to return to Europe," Quintero recently said, speaking to 'W Radio'. "I know that they have helped me a lot in my development during the last few months and it's my home at the moment. I want to give them a lot of happiness."

"However, every player's dream is to be in the most competitive leagues in the world, and I am working for this."

"In the street they tell me about the Madrid stuff, and it's not easy to take this in. We will see what happens. You feel very flattered by potential interest from them, but I'm saying it because of what people are saying. I am a River player and I haven't signed anything."
