"I've always been 'the brother of' and now I'm making a name for myself, it's a dream"

Nico Williams said that the Copa del Rey title won tonight by Athletic Club was for him "a dream" that he had had since he was a child. "From the neighbourhood to great stories like this," said the youngest of the Williams brothers, recalling his life story. "I've always been 'the brother of' and now I'm making a name for myself," he congratulated himself.

As soon as he came out to the press room after celebrating the title on the pitch, Nico said he was already "looking forward to going back to Bilbao to celebrate" and assured that at Athletic he has "many years left".

"I've dreamed of this moment many times, last year I had two chances that I couldn't score and we went out in the semi-finals," he recalled, dedicating the triumph to the fans.

"I was the first to cry. These fans deserve everything and more," summed up the feeling of the match's most outstanding player. "It's unbelievable how the fans are with us. We have fought a lot for this, me, my brothers, my family. We've been through a bad patch and, as I always say, now it's our turn and I'm very happy," he told 'TVE'.
