'I'm tired of teams crying about refereeing decisions' - Courtois responds to Atletico's complaints

Real Madrid's Belgian goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois assured that his team did not play their best game in their shoot-out victory over Atletico Madrid in the round of 16 of the Champions League (2-2 and 2-4 on penalties), but stressed that they got through the tie, which is the important thing.

“Penalties are a lottery and I felt that Julian had double-tipped his spot-kick, I told the referee. It's bad luck for them and it was also for me when I touched Correa's spot-kick, but it was too strong for me to save it. “The first half minute we didn't start well. With the 1-0, I thought it was going to be a more complicated game, with them going more on the attack, but they opted to defend well and not leave us spaces; and it worked out well for them because Oblak didn't make any big saves and we didn't play a good game,” he added.

The Belgian said he was tired of teams complaining about refereeing decisions because of Atletico's post-match complaints about Julian's disallowed penalty. "We all know UEFA sees it clearly. I’m so tired of this victimhood with referees, of always crying about things like this," he concluded.
