"I'm proud to play for my country; I'm from Malaga and I'm not afraid of anything"

Centre-back Dean Huijsen, who made his debut for Spain in the match against the Netherlands in Rotterdam, acknowledged that he had fulfilled a dream by making his debut as a senior international and felt he played a good game.
"I didn't do badly; I think I did well," Huijsen, who made his debut against his country of birth, the Netherlands, told 'Teledeporte' and that led to him being whistled by the fans. "The crowd is the crowd. I just focus on playing and that's it."
"It's a dream to make my debut for the national team and I'm delighted; there are some very good players in the national team and I'm very happy," added the Bournemouth centre-back.
Huijsen, called up for the senior side for the first time, was called up at the last minute from the U21s, to which he had initially been called up. Initially a substitute, he came on because of Pau Cubarsi's injury. "I warm up and go out onto the pitch and try to do the best I can and do the best I can. I hope Pau is okay," the 19-year-old defender said.
"It's a pride to be able to play for this team and for my country. I'm very happy. They were whistling at me and I expected it, but that's football. Luis told me not to think about the crowd and I told him not to worry, I'm from Málaga and I'm not afraid of anything," he said.
And he didn't want to talk about his future: "I'm thinking about this season, I'm not thinking about that. When I play, I'll think about it. It's a source of pride that big teams think about you or are interested in you".
