"I don't know if Madrid fans love Vinicius as much as they did two years ago"

Real Madrid have solved some problems in the transfer market, but they have others to figure out. This is the case of the Vinicius-Mbappe duo, as the overall result has not been as expected in the last campaign.
Pedja Mijatovic, who knows well what it is like to withstand the pressure at the Bernabeu, believes that 'Los Blancos' fans are becoming disenchanted with the Brazilian due to his performances and attitude.
"I don't know if the fans love Vinicius as much as they did two or three years ago, or if he has as much respect for them as he did then," said the former striker on 'El Larguero' on 'Cadena SER'.
Mijatovic also spoke about Real Madrid's last game, the Club World Cup semi-final against PSG: "I watched the game and I was surprised by the result, above all because of Real Madrid's start and the tremendous mistakes at the beginning. It was very bad for all of us, including the coach, because you start to worry.
"When you have to renew the team and look for the new Modric, Kroos, Casemiro... you can't rebuild the team in one summer. There is a lack of creative players, a lot of creativity in midfield," he added.
Mijatovic also gave Xabi Alonso some advice: "To give Arda Guler the position that Modric had would be suicide. When Modric came to Madrid and until the game in Manchester, it seemed that he didn't perform. There is no patience at Madrid, but we have to avoid burning out young players and give them time to show what they can do".
