"I am privileged to have enjoyed and suffered Messi and Ronaldo"

Mallorca coach Javier Aguirre praised Lionel Messi, who won the World Cup in Qatar on Sunday: "Messi can already be proud of what he has achieved. He is already one of the greatest players.

"Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo are making history. I'm privileged to have enjoyed and suffered them. I congratulate him personally because I really appreciate him. He's a very modest guy, I wish him all the best," Aguirre said.

He also responded to a question about Argentina coach Lionel Scaloni: "He has shown that if you do things right, experience is not everything. I feel that he managed to build a team," he added.

"He gathered important and talented people around him and they played as a team. And that's the job of the coaches. Scaloni broke the mould and I think he's fantastic, he's a coach for many years to come and I hope we enjoy him a lot," the manager concluded.
