"Hopefully the national team will play in Valencia to help"

Milan's Spanish international striker Alvaro Morata celebrated his team's change of attitude in defence to stop Real Madrid and conquer the Santiago Bernabeu (1-3) and assured that, when they are "eleven lions", it is "difficult" for any team to beat them. “We had to sacrifice ourselves, be clear that Real Madrid have a great team with very talented players and we had to sacrifice ourselves and run all together. It was an important match for us to know the value we have and, when we are eleven lions on the pitch, it is difficult for anyone to beat us,” he assured on ‘Movistar+’.

Morata, who was seen helping the defence and stealing balls in his own half away from the No 9 zone, was happy with the result, which rewarded the effort. “I adapt to all situations, I want to win and I want Milan to win. As if they put me as goalkeeper, I'm an errand boy and what I like is to win.

“The goal celebration was for a friend, the most important thing is the situation in Valencia and hopefully it will improve because you can't enjoy a football match with the situation my country is in,” he added.

Morata expressed his solidarity with all the victims of the floods in Spain. “I send a hug to all the families affected by the DANA and another to all the people who help with their souls. I am proud to see teammates helping and I wish I could be with them, but we have to continue and we support in our own way. I am proud to be Spanish and to see everyone helping. I hope the national team can play in Valencia to help as much as possible.
