Hojbjerg wants to swap Tottenham for Atletico

Pierre-Emilie Hojbjerg is an attractive prospect for Atletico Madrid, who are looking to add reinforcements to their midfield. The Spanish side would like to bring the midfielder over from Tottenham ahead of the 2023-24 campaign.

According to 'Mundo Deportivo', the Dane is equally interested in the prospect of a move to La Liga. He has already reportedly made Spurs aware of his desire to leave the club and try his luck with Atletico.

He has been a mainstay during his three years in north London, making over 40 appearances every season since he joined from Southampton in 2020.

Hojbjerg still has two seasons left on his contract, but hopes his honesty will push the club to act. The Spanish side want the player, but they are not going to go all out for him either. The 'Colchoneros' hope, therefore, that the player's desire will push the English side to open the door for a medical.
