Former Real Madrid and Spain captain Fernando Hierro said that "it has been a delight" to have players such as Leo Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar in La Liga, although "it is consolidated enough not to miss anyone".
"La Liga has endured that Neymar left and is still there, Cristiano left and is still there, Messi has left and will still be there. I would like them to still be there because they are players who have marked an era, but it is a very consolidated international product so we don't miss anyone," he said at the 'World Football Summit' forum.
Hierro, who spoke on a conference panel dedicated to the use of drones and artificial technology as a shareholder in the company 'Fly-Fut', highlighted the richness that players such as those mentioned have brought to the Spanish competition and said that it remains attractive to players, despite the economic impact of the health crisis and the economic growth of others such as England.
"It has been a delight for our football to have these wonderful players who have marked a great era, but I think that the product of La Liga at international level and what has been achieved is above whether certain players can be there or not," he added.
