Son confirms Tottenham Hotspur exit

Heung-Min Son will depart Tottenham Hotspur this summer. The forward made the announcement at a press conference ahead of Spurs' match against Newcastle in Seoul.
"This is the most difficult moment of my career. I came to north London as a boy who couldn't speak English, and I'm leaving this club as a very proud man," said the South Korean, whose final game for Tottenham Hotspur will be at home.
Ten years have passed since Son joined Spurs' ranks, a decade in which he formed a formidable partnership with Harry Kane.
"I need a new challenge to push myself. I need a change. Ten years is a long time," confessed the player, who is reportedly close to a move to MLS, specifically Los Angeles FC.
"I want to thank all the Spurs fans for their incredible support. I hope this farewell feels timely and that this is the right moment to make this decision," concluded the South Korean.
Son will leave Tottenham Hotspur after 454 appearances, during which he scored 173 goals and provided 101 assists.
