Haaland forced to wear '9' for marketing purposes

There has been an important change in the Norwegian national team in terms of numbers. Striker Erling Haaland will no longer wear the number '23', the number he made his debut at the age of 19 and still wears.

But he is going to change that number to '9', not because of his demands, but because of the "business boost " and marketing. The footballer Solbakken acknowledged the change on 'TV 2'.

"The reason for this is that there is a big desire and commercial drive behind it," he said.

Thus, Real Sociedad player Sorloth will wear the '19' on his back, which he already chose before he knew that Haaland would wear the '9'.

The Norwegian national coach also supported this decision: "Erling, now and probably for many years to come, will be a big brand. Both the NFF and Erling can benefit from this.
