Haaland back in action: brace and assist to lead Norway

Haaland has returned from injury in shape. While rumours continue to swirl about his future, with Manchester City and Real Madrid both keeping an eye on him, the Norwegian continues to focus on doing what he does best: scoring goals.
In the win over Slovakia, the Borussia Dortmund striker scored one of the goals, but in the other friendly against Armenia he exploded with a lesson in verticality, pace and effectiveness in front of goal.
His first goal came after a steal near the edge of the area, a fine lofted pass from Elyounoussi and a better finish from Haaland to make it 1-0. It was a friendly, yes, but he took it very seriously.
King converted the 29th minute penalty to make it 2-0, and a minute later, Haaland himself set up Thorstvedt for the third Nordic goal. Noruege feasted and Odegaard was involved, providing the assist for King's 4-0 in the 34th minute.
To complete the rout on the stroke of half-time, Haaland received a long pass from the Norwegian defence and controlled it in the middle of the Armenian backline. It was a display of extraordinary physicality. After controlling the ball, he beat the goalkeeper with his shot.
Haaland has 15 goals in 17 appearances for Norway and a total of 144 goals at senior level. Europe's top clubs are buzzing about what is shaping up to be the most influential No9 in Europe over the next decade.
