Guler sets off alarm bells at Madrid after suffering severe blow to his tibia

Madrid fans are on tenterhooks for Arda Guler. The Turkish player, a starter in the Nations League clash between his country and Wales, had to ask to be substituted after 89 minutes after suffering a heavy blow to his tibia.

The young Ottoman talent, who received a hard tackle from an opponent, was in pain from the collision and quickly raised his hand as a sign that something was wrong. The medical services came onto the pitch to attend to him and all the alarm bells went off.

Montella took him off the pitch and brought on Kahveci for the last few minutes. Arda Guler came off under his own steam and that brought some relief for everyone, but at the end of the game he was seen with a slight limp and with ice on his calf.
