Guimaraes secret clause to go to Barca

After the departure of Busquets, Barcelona signed Oriol Romeu as a replacement, but despite this, Xavi Hernandez's side still seem to be on the lookout for a defensive midfielder.

There have been some rumours this summer linking the Brazilian with Barcelona and it is known that the Catalans like the profile of the Newcastle midfielder.

Bruno Guimaraes is valued at around 85 million euros according to Transfermarkt and recently extended his contract with the Magpies for five more years until 2028 after his good performances.

However, according to 'Sport', there is a clause in the new contract that would allow Barca to sign Guimaraes for a lower price than any other team bidding for the Brazilian midfielder.

The amount for Barca to make this move a reality would be around 65-70 million euros, an amount that is currently difficult for the Catalan club to reach.
