Guido signs a pre-contract with Barca: 2 years with option for one more year

Guido Rodríguez, who will be released this summer, is one step away from joining Barca. The Argentine midfielder, a key player for Manuel Pellegrini at Real Betis, has reportedly signed a pre-contract with the Catalan giants for two years with an option for one more, according to TyC Sports journalist Gaston Edul.

Fabrizio Romano, an eminence in the transfer market, also echoed this information and pointed out that the 'Cule' club is awaiting the 'Fair Play Financial' to be able to close his contract. Xavi has given his approval and it is only a matter of time before his departure from Heliopolis to Barcelona is known.

It is worth mentioning that Guido Rodríguez would be the first Argentine to join Barca after Kun Aguero's short-lived spell at the club (2021-22). The still green and white midfielder is aware of the big step he is about to take in his career and has left Napoli, with whom he was even negotiating, to one side.

There are only four games left to go until the end of La Liga and for Saenz Pena to put an end to four and a half seasons at Betis. His incorporation would not take place until July, as the player will be part of the 'Albiceleste' expedition that will be at the Copa America.
