Graham Potter reveals Antonio nearing training return after crash recovery

Antonio, 35, was seriously injured on 7 December when his Ferrari collided with a tree in Epping Forest. The Jamaican international spent over 45 minutes trapped in the vehicle, later admitting he feared for his life.
Though he has been sidelined since West Ham's 3-1 defeat to Leicester on 3 December, Antonio recently returned from a warm-weather training camp in Dubai, and progress in his recovery continues to be positive.
Speaking to the media, Hammers boss Potter offered an encouraging update: "He's making good progress, step by step. He's currently training away from the group, but we expect him back with us soon. We're really pleased with how things are going and we're supporting him every step of the way."
While the striker is not expected to feature again this season, his commitment to making a full comeback remains clear. However, questions about his future at the club still linger, with his current deal set to expire this summer..
When asked about any developments regarding a potential contract renewal, Potter declined to elaborate. "As you'd expect, any discussions about contracts are private between the club and the player," he said. "If and when there's something to communicate, we'll let people know."
