Given praises City new boy

The Brazilian's passing was a huge factor in Pep Guardiola's decision to sign the player, with Claudio Bravo having failed to impress last season and with Joe Hart having bombed out on loan to West Ham for a perceived lack of ability with the ball at his feet.
Speaking after Monday night's clash between Everton and Manchester City on Monday night, Given, who knows a thing or two about goalkeeping, was certainly impressed telling 'Premier League Daily': "His (Ederson's) kicking was phenomenal.
"It's probably one of the main reasons he's come to City, and with his feet he's going to be one of the best in the league this year.
"Sergio Aguero made a run, and Ederson's pass to him was probably the pass of the night."
The Irishman went on to say that the City goalkeepers would continue to be the focus of a lot of scrutiny this season.
"They paid a lot of money for Ederson. brought in Bravo for £17m last year, and the season before that they had Joe Hart - a fans' favourite - so every week we'll be talking about the keeper at Man City," he explained.
The 41-year-old concluded by saying that as impressive as Ederson's feet were, he will ultimately be judged on his ability to stop shots.
"I'm looking forward this season to seeing how good a goalkeeper Ederson is. Yes, he's great with his feet, but I want to see if he can stop the ball going into the net. You don't pay £34m for someone who can't do that," he concluded.
Is Ederson the ball playing goalkeeper Guardiola has been searching for?
