Germany against World Cup: "Boycott Qatar 2022"

It is just 13 days until the World Cup begins. The players are desperate for the tournament to get underway, but some are refusing to watch the tournament.
Borussia Dortmund fans, for example, have made it clear that they are against the fact it is being held in Qatar. They asked before the game for no one to follow the competition.
"Boycott Qatar 2022," could be read on a large placard. Other supporters also showed their own messages.
Dortmund supporters were not the only ones to show their anger at the venue for the tournament. Hertha's game with Bayern Munich also saw signs with the same message.
Germany are against Qatar hosting the tournament and they are not the only ones. In France, polls show that more than half the country will not follow the torunament because it is taking place in a country which does not respect human rights.
The World Cup has not even begun and it is set to be one of the most controversial ones. The fact it is being held at the end of the year rather than in the summer is one issue for many as well as political and social reasons.
